Adsense Pay Day

Friday, May 30th, 2008

After looking for numbers and charts at Google Adsense page for a long long time, those numbers came into real cash at last. I have hit the 100$ barrier at the end of April and the hard earned dollars are at my bank by this day. Talking and writing about money doesn’t give much inspiration but drinking few beers with online money will be a great inspiration for sure.

I’ve received my first payment from Adsense at the end of sixth month. Regarding that it’s my first payment and now my earnings are higher when compared to the first days, I expect to receive my next payment in 2-3 months and I’m aiming to receive monthly payments from Adsense by the end of the month.

Hubpages has been the most important source of my Adsense earnings, considering the organic traffic it provides to my articles. My blog is a journal of my online money making experience for now but I hope that BloggerDollar will also earn me some considerable money soon.

Google AdSense Introducing Third-Party Ads

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Google AdSense Team sent an e-mail yesterday informing the publishers that AdSense have enabled third-party ads from now on which means that we won’t only publish Google AdSense Ads but also ads from other Google approved ad networks. The third-party ads will be in English and only in image format for now. The official announcment from Google AdSense Blog : http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/05/introducing-third-party-ads-on-google.html

You have to set you ads to image format from AdSense Control Panel : Manage Ads section. If you don’t want to display the third-party ads you can change the ad settings to text only and go on with the AdSense Ads. I have set up the ads at my main page to image only to see the performance of the new third-party ads. The bloggers aren’t sure about the outcomes of introducing other ad networks to Google AdSense because now they will be in control of CPC.

I think that Google knows the best and they have probably taken their precautions to protect their publishers. They are now offering limited number of third-party networks only from America. Here is a list of approved third-party publishers:

North America: Ad servers

North America: Rich media

North America: Research

Amazon MP3 Clips Widget

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Amazon Affiliate Program announced a new service which can be considered as a revolution in their services. Now Amazon is offering MP3 sales and let their affiliate partners to sell MP3 products through widgets. The new service will be a good income for music blogs for sure. Amazon offers you a variety of options with their MP3 widget. You can select bestsellers from different genres or you can just create your own album. This new step in Amazon services will heat the blogosphere for sure. The coming days will show us the user experience and how well the system works. For now I will only put a small widget of my beloved Classic Rock Mp3’s as a demo and I will wait to see if some of my readers share my music taste.

Monthly Earnings Report - April

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Once more beginning of a new month and time for monthly earnings report. After a boost up at earnings in March, I was a little a fraid to see the earnings go down and lose my excitement. Actually my earnings are nearly the same when compared to March. Last month I had very good eCPM results from Adsense. Smartpricing is a serious issue in Adsense and I got smartpriced as expected. I have to admit that my Hubpages traffic is less when compared to last month but the Adsense earnings are nearly the half. Surely I have to increase the number of my Hubs and increase traffic. What came to my surprise is it’s been a great month for Amazon Associates program. I’ve sold 10 products this month and I can see some of my Amazon capsules at Hubpages is working good.

The important thing is I finally made the 100$ milestone at Google Adsense and I will hopefully receive my first paycheck from online business. This month I’ve also seen the importance of Amazon Associates and I am working on an Amazon Store Project right now. (I will give the information about the on going project but my main purpose is to build an Amazon Store with it’s own shopping cart.)

Here are the numbers :

Earnings for April: 49,72$

  • Google Adsense Earnings : 27,03$
  • Amazon Associates Earnings: 22,69$
